How We Can Help

Who doesn’t need help finding a job today? It takes an average of three months to get hired. And the average person changes jobs – and even careers – seven times! You’re not alone. Most people need support.

Our WorkOne centers have everything you need to help you find the job that’s right for you. Each center offers:

  • a computer lab with Microsoft Office programs
  • résumé and typing tutor software
  • Internet access
  • fax and copy machines
  • a job lead board
  • career interest surveys
  • books and electronic resources.
We also offer workshops that help you focus on your skills and strengths, explore career options, write a résumé and cover letter and practice interviewing. We even hold special workshops where an employer or recruiter comes in to talk about his or her company.
You can use these services on your own or work with the support of our staff. You can register for services and get an initial assessment at any of our WorkOne centers. WorkOne offers one-on-one career counseling; special programs for veterans, older workers and workers with disabilities; scholarships or job training; and information about the labor market and how your skills may transfer to an occupation that employers need to fill.
