Major Opportunities
Major Opportunities is a 16-week pre-apprenticeship program in the construction trades geared toward Indiana’s minority residents. Major Opportunities offers job and skill training to qualified people to prepare them for construction-industry jobs that pay good wages. Participants receive classroom instruction and will be matched for on-the-job training experience. Graduates will receive job-placement assistance in union and/or merit construction apprenticeship programs as well as other career paths. Industrial Skills Training Institute

The Industrial Skills Training Institute provides accelerated, certified training to students who want to learn skills in a particular industry. The training is accelerated, enabling the student to find work in high-demand, high-paying jobs quickly. The training is thorough and meets industry standards, providing the student with at least one and sometimes several nationally recognized and portable certifications.

 

The Industrial Skills Training Institute is a collaboration between Ivy Tech Community College, the Indianapolis Private Industry Council and WorkOne. It provides the best training to advance your career and increase your salary in Indiana ’s growing economy.
